About the event
The Albany Jazz Band Big Band (20 players strong!) is delighted to continue our long tradition of performining annually at the Dance Palace (after several years interruption during the pandemic). As is our tradition, we will feature a exciting mix of swing, Latin, and pop dance tunes and encourage attendees to take advantage of the Dance Palace's great dance floor. Our peformance is part of the Dance Palace's 50th Anniversary Celebration. Back in the day, the Dance Palace was a regular stop for touring big bands. We are proud that the Albany Jazz Band was chosen to be the big band playing at this milestone event. In addition to our music, there will be activities honoring the history of the Dance Palace, great food, and much more. You don't want to miss it!
